My own private Uppsala

I have the jet lag from Hell.
NOW I know what the fools were talking about all those years, and I wish I didn't.
Every night I cannot sleep, every day I am a walking dead. When I sit I nod like an old lady, almost falling over - almost.
I have a hate/love relationship with my bed.
I cannot take baths, because I don't want to in that bathroom, eating is not an option. I exercise and exhaust myself during the day, still no good. I read and read my book, it is a HUGE book (more than 800 pages, and two more parts just as thick)... thinking about sex...is the kiss of death to sleep.
Overall, thinking about Boulder and where I want to live, compared to where I live...is not a good option.
So I didn't sleep at all this night. Just couldn't. And I have no internet until tuesday. So this is written at the McDonalds internet café. It opens 7 a.m. News are on with Bush speaking from the Republican convention.
Maybe killing myself at Mc Donalds would make a statement?

Date: 2004-09-04 07:03 pm (UTC)Colorado is truly remarkable by most any standard, and Boulder even moreso.
I may get to see it one of these centuries, but for the moment I'll have to content myself with words and pictures. It looks pretty amazing, but from where I sit Sweden looks pretty damn remarkable too. Not that Australia is short on notable features itself...
(If I lived where my parents do - central Illinois - I'm not sure if love would have been enough...)
Lucky it's Boulder then. ;) Illinois will forever be the home of Jake and Elwood Blues for me...
And your Swedish is still likely to be orders of magnitude better than mine. I'm not sure I actually know any Swedish at all.
