I'm bored, so i'm actually going to take this literally.

I dunno, starting flame wars with love struck 17 year olds seems too easy, not to mention the fact that you'll end getting too much material to work with and your ever so well crafted arguments are likely to go over these imbeciles' heads. This happens to me often enough...i put together a cogent argument, and the person its aimed at exhibits the comprehension skills of lint, and then at some point i jump up and yell "straw man, straw man", to no avail, then i sit back and grind my teeth and you hear about it in my lj. Nobody wins. But its fun to insult and degrade sometimes, its the foundation for an entire 'school' of comdedy, so go for it.

The best flame wars are ones that degenerate into tests of creative insult craftsmanship, the most difficult ones are political and ethical ones because then you actually have to review every single world you write so as to not leave any openings. The worst feeling is actually being caught in a trap you set for yourself...at this point i usually fall back on the "your mother was over here last night...." technique.

So i dunno, you may want to start off by making a blatantly un-PC comment...that usually gets the PC gestapo's attention and you're off. Just be careful not to give away the fact that you really are in bittersville, bordering on envy-town, because they will rip you apart if that gets out. (this post, in my humble opinion as your new flame-trainer, may have to be re-classified as 'friends only').
