I grew up in Moomin Valley

Anyone who knows me somewhat also knows how much I love the work of the Finnish writer Tove Jansson, and her Moomin-Valley books. Ever since I was a kid I've been pretty formed by this mixture of the mysterious, the cozy, the outsider, the rebelling conformist and the storyline-flirt with change versus homeliness, which pretty much sum up the books for me.
