Fags are men, men are animals

I may have read other texts about pedophilia being horrible, or about homophobia, the patriarchy, religious zealots, blah blah, you name it. And I might agree or not agree completely, but it is rare that I read something that is brave on a political & public opinion form of level.
It happens that I read texts of the more personal kind, which expose a form of bravery, but the rant I am about to show now is a different kind of brave that I find fairly rare.
This man wrote an article in his blog (as a response to a recent debate in Swedish newspapers), called Fags are men - men are animals, and he has taken a lot of crap for it, as well as a lot of admiration (mostly from women).
It is perhaps important to know beforehand that he is an active member of the Swedish Gay Community. I don't think I've seen much angry agitation against him from the gay community (yet), but there is plenty of anger directed at him from men.
So I translated the article on the fly into English, and I apologize in advance for it being hasty and not without flaws. For people who know Swedish I recommend to go here and by all means read it in the original language. The two more recent entries of his are also worthy of reading, since he gives some responses to questions people ask after the article I'm referring to here.
One other thing to remember is that Qatt, when he uses the word "liberal" doesn't necessarily mean it in the same way as people do in America. In Sweden "liberal" means both the classical movement with values such as freedom (of speech) & individuality and such matters, but it is also a synonym of the Swedish Right-wing political parties. To be a Liberal in Sweden is also to be right wing, as paradoxical as this might sound to someone from the US.
This is a highly controversial text considering the position from which he is writing (as an openly gay politically progressive man).
