Leaving the South, going North
May. 2nd, 2007 04:28 pmI'm leaving Malmö tonight, traveling north to Uppsala by plane. During this week with my parents I have been confronted with:
1. My mother prickling my finger, testing my blood for diabetes. I didn't have it. (my mom is obsessed with diabetes ever since she got diagnosed with it last year)
2. Being forced to have a heart to heart with my dad about his future tombstone and how I must promise to never cremate him.
3. Being on a &%#**+# health food diet and losing 5 lbs
I guess a very special kind of insanity is created from being an only child moving to the other side of the world. The truth is that my parents are in their early sixties and fairly healthy today, but you wouldn't think so from hearing them talk.
It was good to see them however.
The rest of the stay is going to be friends and party time, but mostly I'm posting because I want to show you the Norwegian historical take on new technology, it's hilarious, and Norwegian is the prettiest language in Scandinavia, although it may be hard to tell from this snippet. (there are English subtitles). The Geek sent me the link last night: Norwegian medieval Tech support
