from the dusty depths of the archive...
Dec. 16th, 2003 10:09 pmQuite the chill outside today, so I put on my army jacket, and a silly green knitted cap, also long knitted scarf thingie, mittens, the works, hair stood in all directions from dry air etc...and what happens, hah!
I was asked to show ID in the liquor store.
One would imagine that the poor sods should know that no youngster would buy a bottle of such a decent wine...
I blame it on the mittens and the cap (which really does look kind of silly...)
Only ten days until I get love, sex and a bunch of other niceties!!!
(But if I don't get a whole load of academic shit together before that, I'm screwed in a completely different and less pleasant way!)
My archive project is almost over though, The old theologist, who's collection we have been sorting out (me and two classmates)should be somewhat pleased if he saw the neat folders we have collected his (cleverly transcribed by us) manuscripts and correspondence.
Also I'm getting better at reading 18th century writing.
Never thought I would say that, but yes, I'm getting there...
