Paint and broken dragon
Jul. 18th, 2003 12:14 amCupboard doors to my old kitchen are done. Uneven areas filled with putty, then sanded then washed. Now painted in a discreet mild green, friendly for most ppls eyes. (Since the place is going to be sold, the aesthetics will be more after my prejudice of the "common mans" taste, than after my own - although I do like the green...)
Two hard working evenings after regular work, with the help of my friend Sofia. I'm sooo tired. And it was sooo hot in the attic where we did it. Two seriously sweaty ladies in their bra's...
I have paint on my toes.
And poor B-man. When I came home I found the kitchen clinically cleaned. A child can now eat off the floor...and the working bench..shines!
He grovelled - a lot. It turned out that he had unwillingly happened to smash and break the computer dragon - a present from a friend in the States. Yes
kejn it's the red computer dragon I got from Fran, 2 years ago...it's wings are broken and probably unmendable!
It's of course a pity, but so bereft was B-man, that I had to explain to him (once again) that things are not that important to me...(I will always remember the moment when I received the gift though - with fondness...).
