I'm leaving the politics to others, but I just wanted to comment I had to smile while reading your post. I made pretty much the same point in a debate in a different forum once - that it isn't fruitful to share your thoughts and honest interest in the well-being of others, that it isn't just about what you accomplish or succeed to do, but very much about what you believe in and try to accomplish. Funny to see the same point from someone else!
(And isn't it funny - while I write this, I'm hearing demonstraters outside the window. I don't know what it is about, but it is at least a bunch of people who believes in something! *l*)
